Educational Technology Study Program Universitas Negeri Surabaya successfully holds guest lecture with Prof. TS. Dr. Siti Hajar Halili From Universiti Malaya

Surabaya - On Wednesday, September 13, 2023 the Department of Educational Technology held a Guest Lecture with Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Siti Hajar Halili who serves as Head of the Department of Curriculum and Learning Technology at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. The guest lecture was held at Auditorium O5 3rd floor, FIP. Guest lecture is an annual lecture activity that aims to increase knowledge according to the field of science studied or enrichment of knowledge. 

With the theme "The Role of Educational Technology in the Era of Unlimited Learning", the important points conveyed by Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Siti Hajar Halili is the development and utilization of AI in learning, the use of social media for learning, the use of blended learning models such as flipped classroom which is currently a topic that is widely discussed by many educational technologists around the world.

The Guest Lecture event was crowded by students of the UNESA Educational Technology Department with a total of 230 students attending, including 150 students from S1 Educational Technology, 50 students from S2 Educational Technology, and 30 students from S3 Educational Technology. This shows high enthusiasm for this guest lecture by students.

With this guest lecture, students, especially S3 Educational Technology students, can understand the development of learning models and media which are currently a hot topic of conversation among lecturers / researchers / or educational practitioners. So that the hope is that students can find, choose, and carry out research on topics which are then outlined in the final dissertation.
