Surabaya - Recently S1, S2, S3 Educational Technology Study Program, FIP UNESA, carried out Community Service (PKM) with Project Based Learning Student Worksheet Preparation Training. PKM is an annual program carried out by S1, S2, S3 Educational Technology Study Programs, so that on (29/07) yesterday this PKM took place. PKM was carried out at Batik 2 Surakarta High School, the Doctoral Program in Educational Technology itself conducted training for SMK teachers and around ± 50 Private Vocational School teachers in Surakarta participated in this training.
Of course this PKM is in order to improve the quality of learning in Private Vocational High Schools (SMK) in the city of Surakarta. So that this activity aims to enable private vocational teachers in Surakarta to be able to design, develop, use, and evaluate PJBL-based LKPDs to prepare students to become quality graduates and ready to face the world of work. Initially, the lecturers of the Doctoral Program in Educational Technology conducted a needs analysis for teachers, and the result was that they really needed training like this in order to improve the quality of education. So this activity is a form of collaboration and participation of educators to advance education in their area.
The head of the organizing committee, Sri Darwati, revealed that the main objective of this training was to equip vocational school teachers with the latest LKPD preparation strategies that can increase students' creative and critical power. The Project Based Learning model emphasizes the application of project-based learning, so with the PJBL LKPD students are expected to be able to develop practical skills as well as theoretical understanding in the context of the real world of work. "Currently, the world of education is increasingly dynamic and faces various challenges. With Project Based Learning, we want to provide relevant learning and be able to prepare students well for a competitive world of work," said Sri Darwati.
PKM is implemented in a blended learning method, namely a method that combines offline and online training. Offline activities have been completed and online activities will be carried out according to schedule. It is hoped that this training event will have a long-term positive impact on education in Surakarta. Teachers who have gained knowledge from this training will implement it in their respective schools and share it with their colleagues. Of course this will have a big impact on students and themselves, so that it will enrich the learning experience and help produce vocational graduates who are competent and ready to face the increasingly complex real world of work.
The enthusiasm of the participants in this training was extraordinary. One of the training participants, Ms. Retno Wulan Wardani, S.Pd, stated that this training was very useful and wanted to have further meetings.
